9:24 - 1 Slimfast
Passport. Ugh, ...
--:-- -
You know what? I don't remember what I had, or when I had it. It was some kind of sandwich from McAllister's and it was great. I had two big glasses of sweet tea to go along with it and a bag of Sun Chips. But who cares? I thought judging what I eat was going to be helpful, but I've still got a fat ass and it's probably going to stay that way. I give up.

Philip - Day 71
5:08 - 1 Slimfast
--:-- - Tuscan Pesto chicken sandwich and 1 Boulevard Wheat
--:-- - Pork chops with pasta and 2 Red Stripe
Slither is an excellently bad movie. It's not really all that intelligent. For the most part, it's not well acted. The special effects leave something to be desired most of the time. In other words, Roger Corman would be proud.

Philip - Day 69
5:32 - Lemon creme cookies and 1 glass of milk
11:04 - 1 bowl of frosted flakes
Balto 2 is a strange movie. Talking wolves with spiky eybrows. Precognitive ravens. Weird shit.
22:06 - 1/2 a mesquite grilled chicken salad with peppercorn ranch dressing and a few beers
This hanging out with Karl every other day thing is pretty neat. Too bad we couldn't do it before we had to leave for Europe and he moves to, ... wherever he ends up moving to. St. Louis, I think.

14:30 - 1 grilled turkey and swiss sandwich with honey dijon mustard, an apple, a handful of Ritz crackers, and 1 diet cherry coke
20:35 - Chicken Cordon Bleu, green beans, and rolls
I think I'm getting sick again. Too much stuff done too soon, I guess. The Captain Ireland figure I've been working on is getting real close to being finished. I have a lot of touch-ups to make, but it's turning out to be really cool. I think I'll make another one, actually. I haven't decided yet.

16:14 - 1 grilled turkey and swiss with Country Bob's, Ritz chips, and a Diet Sierra Mist
Shit, I missed a day.
24:56 - 1 chicken sandwich, fries, and 1/2 a root beer
Transformers was good, but lacked any real character development. Knocked Up more than made up for it, anyways.

I'm starting to feel better. My head still hurts and I'm still pretty tired, but other than that, I'm more or less healthy.

Philip - Day 64
12:47 - 1 slice of peanut butter toast and mint tea
So, did I mention that I've been somewhat sickly all week? No? Shit. So, on top of whatever stomach flu-ish thing I've had, all that alchohol was just a terrible decision. I lumbered over to the basement bathroom and promptly regurgitated the pizza, replete with mostly undigested pineapple chunks. Bleh. Needless to say, we spent the morning in bed. Until about 10:30. That's the latest I've slept in for a long time, and I know Kaitlin hasn't slept in in forever. Had we both not been feeling sickly, it would've been enjoyed more, I'm certain.
When I start to perk up a little, I think we're going to run some errands, and then probably do a soup and sandwich lunch. The plan is for a breakfast dinner, which is the best kind of dinner. I think we're just gonna take it easy and do laundry all day. Maybe watch a few movies. The 10th Kingdom, maybe?
21:02 - 1 slice of pizza, 1 Gatorade, and a lot of Ritz crackers
Braving the storm, we set out to obtain sustenance that wouldn't be instantly returned. Lots of Gatorade, Sprite, crackers, and popcorn. We watched the last four episodes of Buffy's first season, and while they weren't life-altering by any stretch of the imagination, they were entertaining. We didn't really accomplish anything we set out to do today, but I felt like crap, Kait's exhausted, the weather sucked, and we took all those as decent excuses. Tomorrow will be a different story.

Black Snake Moan's first five minutes have impressed me so far.
13:05 - 3 soft tacos and 2 burritos
21:04 - 3 slices of pizza
Not enough left to last another two weeks. Hmm, ...
23:23 - 4 shots of Wild Turkey and 1 beer
... or 2? I don't remember. I think it's been 2. There's gonna be more. God in Heaven, there wil be more!

14:36 - 1 grilled turkey burger with cheese and dijon mustard and 1 Propel
Two months. I've been recording this weight thing for two months. I don't think I have much to show for it. Blah. I have about two weeks to make some significant progress. I think Kait and I are going to take before and after trip photos to see if we lose any weight.
18:23 - 1 grilled turkey burger with honey bbq sauce, 1 mexican cheese sandwich, and 1/2 a bag of severely burnt popcorn
21:32 - 1 bowl of "frossed frakes"

22:55 - 3 pork chops, french onion soup, corn, mashed potatoes, 2 Propel, and 1 raspberry peanut butter cup concrete from Culver's
Dinner was, ... gross. It wasn't Kaitlin's fault. We went to the nature center with our packs totally full and walked 3 miles. It was an intense workout, but we left the stupid crockpot going. Now, ... I want to get this stuff out of my system and eat something that doesn't taste so, ... soapy.

Man, ... Luckily, I have just the cure for hangovers.
13:38 - 1 grilled corned beef and farmer's cheese sandwich with honey bbq sauce, 1/2 bag of wheat and gluten-free "cheese curls", and 1 Propel
These health food store Cheetos are really good. Seriously good. Also, ...
14:03 - 1 english muffin with strawberry cream cheese and butter
Mmm, ... Tasty.
23:39 - Chicken alfredo in garlic sauce, breadsticks, salad, and Dr. Pepper
So, it wasn't much of a date, but it was nice to eat out. Even if it was just at Olive Garden.
20 bicep lifts, 20 tricep lifts, 10 side dumbell lifts, 10 front dumbell lifts, 10 dumbell curls. I was TIRED. But my arms felt really good afterwards.

6:48 - 1 Slimfast
11:33 - 1 grilled corned beef and farmer's cheese sandwich with honey bbq sauce and 1 Propel
19:17 - 1 chicken grilled stuff burrito and 7 beers and counting
20 bicep and 20 tricep lifts at 40 lbs. 10 front dumbell lifts and 10 side dumbell lifts at 15 lbs. I am gonna get plastered. Dinner is cooking and I've got, ... 17 more Coors Light to finish. I'm not saying I'm gonna finish every one, ... but I might. And then I'll shop for beer during the hangover with my iPod blasting Eagles of Death Metal as I walk through the grocery store. Sounds good to me.
21:39 - 11th beer
I'm a bit drunk. Yeah, ... Ant Bully is incredibly boring, even with all the celebrity voices and colorful animation. The only ones worth really mentioning are Bruce Campbell and Nicholas Cage. I guess it's important that the kid who plays Lucas plays Aang on Avatar. But, mostly it's a big waste of time. Kait's asleep and I'm drunk, ... what is this, two, three weeks? Whenever the last time I mentioned it. Too long.

I started lifting again today. I haven't done anything else, but my arms are sore. It's been awhile since I'd even thought about doing anything. 20 bicep and 20 tricep lifts at 40 lbs.
21:13 - 2 chicken enchiladas with mexican rice and 1/2 a kiwi strawberry soda

Hungry. Hungry. Hippo.
17:02 - 2 bowls of ice cream
You have no idea. Seriously. It was crazy, ...
19:13 - 4 buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs with cheese, 4 sausage patties, and 2 Oberons
Started watching the first season of Buffy. We're halfway through the second episode, and it's alright so far. We also have the 4th disc of Ah! My Goddess!. Pretty good stuff. Kait doesn't like it as much as Fruits Basket, and I have to agree, but still, it's decent when there are so many crap anime out there. I didn't even finish the last series I watched and I had gotten to the 11 episode of 12. I couldn't bear to waste 22 more minutes on it. So, ... yeah.

Lauren - Day 52
Breakfast: rasin bran with skim milk and orange juice
Lunch: a salad with a bunch of stuff in it
Dinner: a cappuccino blast
I tried to read A Clockwork Orange today. That did not work out well. I'd have to look up every other work with a British slang dictionary and that does not sound like a fun read. Instead a read the first few chapters of Tomcat in Love. Really good so far. Like most Tim O'Brien books. He has such a cynical view of romantic relationships. He must have been left by someone while he was over seas. At least, that's what most of his books allude to. Anyway, at the moment I'm reading: Tomcat in Love, Two for the Dough and The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide. Off to read!

Lauren - Day 51
Breakfast: two pieces of pizza and some orange juice
Lunch: Americone Dream Ice Cream (delish!)
Dinner: salmon and broccoli and bread sticks from Olive Garden
I've been bad about posting on here. I got a little down and out about my weight for a while and didn't feel like looking at what I have been consuming for the past few days. I'm better now and plan on posting more frequently.
Joan's in town. This may turn out really bad but I'm hoping that it'll be fine. My whole "I'm older then her and therefor must be better then her" thing has died down a lot in the past few years so I don't feel the need to fight with her over everything any more just so I can win. All though, she turns everything into a battle of wits so...Wish me luck!

Philip - Day 51
9:00 - 1 bowl of Frosted Flakes
Well, FDIL JR is gone back to Marquette. Out of my house, at least. There was an awkward handshake/hug, and then he and Kait went off to church, while I stay right where I am in my chair. I've got to finish the Comic Book Project storyline as best as I can, but other than that, my day is totally open. It's nice to have the house to myself for once. I don't consider myself a hermit by nature, but I do like my solitude. Yet another quirk I've inherited from my late grandfather.
14:07 - 4 buffalo wings, a handfull of fries, a handful of Doritos, and 1/2 a Nesquick chocolate milkshake
I destroyed the roof of my mouth the other day, and now eating anything takes a lot of self-control. If I'm not careful, I scrape the pallet and get a refreshing jolt of searing pain, instant headache, and tears come to my eyes. Fun stuff.
19:28 - 2 grilled ham and swiss sandwiches, a handful of Junior Mints, and an Oberon
So much smoke.

Philip - Day 50
13:18 - 2 slices of pizza and 1 glass of apple juice
22:50 - 10 Hawaiian buffalo wings, 1/2 a Dr. Pepper, and a few handfuls of buttery popcorn
Disgustingly buttery. Which is why I had to scoop a few pieces at a time from the rim of the tub. Even the container for the popcorn conveys a sense of gluttonous self-gratification. Tub.
But, even though the snackables were of mediocre quality, I am glad to say that Pixar, after the not-so-impressive Cars, has totally redeemed itself with Ratatouille. Brad Bird and Michael Giachinno are allowed to co-write/direct and score any of my movies they want to, respectively. If it weren't for the "must be a movie that has already been reviewed on the site" stipulation, I would be able to gush about it for a nearly indefinite amount of time for my MRFH application. Nevertheless, I will definitely be seeing it again, despite the unbearable television commercials that provide a pronunciation guide for the eternally clueless.
"Little Chef", heh.
Philip - Day 49
9:44 - 1 piece of lemon cake, 1 glass of milk, and 1 Propel
Currently sitting in my car, which is sitting in the garage. TriPatch has a groomer's appointment to get all the ticks and gunk out of his fur at 11, so I'm dog-proofing my front seat. The little puker. And, of course, since no who would care is around, I'm taking the opportunity to fill my car with smoke.
15:12 - 1 chicken melt, 1/2 of a cookies and cream milkshake, and 1 Slimfast bar
20:22 - 3 slices of homemade bbq chicken pizza and 1 Nesquick strawberry milk
21:37 - 1 slice of pizza and a beer

Philip - Day 48
8:37 - 1 Slimfast
So, ... JR is here. I guess things are okay so far, but we're definitely not on the same level as when he left nearly a year ago. I've gotten a lot closer to Kait's mom and John, while he's been living somewhat pampered under Ginnie's influence. The worst part is that I'm expecting something to happen. Even if something doesn't, I'm constantly on my toes. What I really want to do is just blaze through the next few days in a cloud of smoke, but I promised Kait I'd take it easy with her dad in the house.
Second Comic Book Project class is today at 1:30. I'm feeling a lot more confident than on Monday. Bring it on.
12:01 - 1 grilled ham and swiss, 1 Propel, and 1 piece of lemon cake
20:26 - 2 canneloni, 2 Diet Cokes, 1 grilled ham and swiss, 1 glass of milk, and 2 peanut butter cookies
And a lot of pot! HA!

9:52 - 1 grilled peanut butter and honey sandwich, 1 grilled pastrami and provolone sandwich, and 1 glass of milk
So glad to be home. So glad.
18:10 - 5 slices of pizza, 1 large sweet tea
The Comic Book Project is off and running. I only got to spend time with half the kids involved today, but I think it really helped them. There are some great ideas starting to take shape. It will be interesting to see what will come of them.

Philip - Day 39
12:16 - 1/2 a bowl of Frosted Flakes
I'm a raging burning ring of fire
And I get hotter as I get higher
And I'm tearing a whole right through the sky of blue
14:05 - 1 grilled pastrami and provolone sandwich with Thai peanut sauce, 1 grilled peanut butter and honey sandwich, 1 glass of milk, and 1 Propel
19:12 - 1 "Turkey Russo" sandwich, chips, a Coke, and two pieces of Strawberry Shortcake Serenade ice cream cake
The music video for Axe is so sexist and over the top it's awesome. They managed to walk a fine line of parody by distilling every Pussycat Dolls and Christina Aguilera appearance ever. Bomchickawahwah.

Lauren - Day 38
Breakfast: raisin bran cereal
Lunch: milk shake with world class chocolate ice cream
Dinner: salad with tons of stuff in it and some chicken
Snack: potato chips and mountain dew
So much drama at work over the weekend. People didn't show up on Friday, one person was left to close, one of the ice cream freezers got turned off...the list goes on and on. I think several people are going to be fired. Sixteen year old boys should not be trusted to close a store by themselves. Ever.

Did 25 crunches, since I haven't in a long time. Lazy. Anyways, I started reading Maximum Ride 3, and playing the new Spyro and Tomb Raider games. Both are incredibly intuitive and are really fun to play. The weirdest thing is they both have widescreen TV options. Never seen that before.
"Do I need to bite you on the buttocks?"
13:08 - 1 peanut butter and honey sandwich, milk and cookies, and 1 Cherry Zero coke
They managed to get the smell out of my chair right after the fact. Interesting. This needs to be tested.

Breakfast: hamburger patty
Lunch: ravioli
Snack: butter bread
Dinner:mashed potatoes and butter bread
------------------------------------------------------
Breakfast: 2 honey and oats bars
Lunch: two chicken breasts from KFC, some bbq beans, and this corn stuff and a mountain dew
Dinner: more chicken, a few cookies and a brownie
Snack: propel water and a small back of chips
Today was a picnic for my mom and a bunch of people she did a play with a few months back. There's this guy who my mom wanted to introduce me to who was there. Very interesting. He's cute but we didn't talk much. Mainly because she didn't actually introduce us. My mom's such a flake. Anyway, the picnic was fun and I walked around a lot. Even though I'm really tired and still a little sick it was a good day.

--:-- - Steak and chicken breast, mashed potatoes, baked beans, sweet tea, beer, and 2 small pieces of cake
I got so, ... yeah. We hung out at Kathleen and John's for the second time in three days, but it was fun, though. Wednesday is Kait's birthday, so I need to go buy her present before we leave for Tennessee. Looking forward to it. I also took a multivitamin, vitamin c tablet, and palmetto gelcap. w00t.

Girls is officially over, ... I hope someone picks up the movie rights. If it were toned down a bit, it could be a definite twist on the zombie genre.

Lauren - Day 32,33,34
Lunch: blue corn chips, hummus and salsa
Dinner: ravioli
I also had some Sleepy Time tea because I'm sick :(
______________
Lunch: ravioli
Snack: a piece of the new fudge/cookie ice cream cake at work Yum!
Dinner: 2 and 1/2 brats and some French fries
____________
Breakfast: two oats bars
Snack: a scoop of the new ice cream at work (Penguin Swirl, I think. It was pretty good.)
Lunch: one and a half brats
Snack: a reeses peanut butter shake. Oh my god! It's sooo good.
Dinner: a bunch of potato chips and some salad
I'm so exhausted. Today was a lot of running around back and forth at work so my feet are killing me. Tomorrow we have to take inventory so I have to come in at like 8AM. Yuck! I'm thinking I'm going to come in at 8:30 instead. I don't think Todd will really care.

18:05 - 1 Propel and 4 slices of cheese
Alien plasma rules!
22"02 - Spinach artichoke dip and pita chips, 5 slices of italian sausage pizza, and a medium Dr. Pepper
Man, soda is too sweet for me. I'm used to drinking Propel and the Propel-ish water mixes, and all the sugar and caffeine does pretty weird stuff to my system. Luigi's pizza wasn't all that great, but since Kait had the gift certificate, I guess it wasn't all that bad. It was free, right?

10:30 - 2 buttermilk pancakes with syrup, scrambled eggs, and grits
19:35 - 1/2 a bucket of popcorn and 1/1 a Dr. Pepper
I don't really understand why people didn't like Pirates 3. The only glaring problems I had with it involved the treatment of Keira Knightley. The amount of power she eventually recieves is just unrealistic. It's a definite case of applying modern views of suffrage to what is clearly supposed to be a period piece.
As for the rest of the movie, it had everything I wanted, and kept a lot of excellent secrets that I didn't orignally see coming. Yes, there was a lot of talking compared to the last movie, which attempted to string action scene after action scene together in a desperate attempt to form a coherent narrative. Not that it didn't achieve one, but it wasn't as strong as in the new film. In any case, I felt the story was wrapped up and the hinting at yet another sequel was done believably, even if I'd rather not see one. The tale is told, and it's been told well.
Forget Captain Jack, Barbosa is back, indeed.
21:47 - 3 beers
We watched The Holiday, one of the movies I got with birthday money from Entertainmart. It's not as complex as Love Actually, but it's definitely a contender. So, I did 30 crunches, 25 bicep curls, and 20 tricep curls, which is a little more than usual, and, as expected, was a little harder. And it is my birthday, so, ... yeah. All in all, today was an excellent birthday.

Philip - Day 32
19:19 - 1 corned beef and farmer's cheese bagel sandwich, 1 glass of milk, 1 Propel, and two spoonfuls of some kind of fancy raspberry yogurt cup
Seriously. The yogurt's name has characters that I don't recognize. From other languages. And it's not very good.
I'm kind of shocked that I wasn't hungry all day, but I guess I ate a lot last night. I did crunches and barbell exercises last night, and I just did them again. I also took a multivitamin, a calcium tablet, and a palmetto gelcap. I think I'm going to start taking them every day. I can actually feel a difference, which is pretty neat.
I'll be 22 tomorrow. I certainly don't feel wiser. But I don't feel much older, either. Meh.
20:06 -
I'm down to 240 lbs, so I've got about 60 left to go. The weirdest thing is that I'm back to 42 inches. Considering how lax I've been, I'm amazed I've lost anything. But, the scale reading lower was pretty decent motivation.
I sliced the back of my ankle on the stairs. Why must I hurt myself doing so many stupid things?

I'm pretty sure the cats are bribing me to bring their mama home. Yesterday I was given a field mouse, and today they bring me a chipmunk. At this rate, the cats would be dragging in moose by Friday. Good thing Kait'll be home tomorrow.
13:04 - 1 corned beef and farmer's cheese bagel sandwich with honey bbq sauce and a handful of tortilla chips
21:09 - 2 Arby's melts, medium curly fries, medium potato cakes, a medium Pepsi, and apple juice mixed with vanilla Svedka

Philip - Day 30
11:03 - 1 bowl of frosted flakes
So, ... I didn't get to sleep until nearly 4:30, but I did watch half a season of Frasier. I did barbell exercises and 25 situps last night, and it's weird how doing something little like that can make a big difference. Mentally, at least. I woke up, and have little to no clothing left to wear. I'm going to do some laundry.

10 minutes on the elliptical. I feel like I'm gonna die, ... I am so out of shape, ...
16:58 - 1 grilled pastrami and farmer's cheese sandwich with honey bbq sauce, 2 english muffins with blackberry preserves and strawberry cream cheese, and a beer
23:22 - 1 bag of popcorn and another beer
My laundry's been in the dryer for nearly 10 hours now, ... I should do something about that.

18:31 - 1 pastrami and farmer's cheese with honey bbq sauce, 1 bowl of frosted flakes, and 2 Coor's Light
I finally made it to the grocery store. Milk, juice, Propel, deli meats, and beer were not able to avoid me. Kait needs to come home. I don't know if I can spend much more time by myself. Bah. I think I might make some chicken fried rice. That sounds tasty.

I ate so much ice cream today. I don't remember what times or exactly what kind of ice cream all I know is I ate tons of it.
Lunch: beans and rice
Snack: a toasted deli beef sandwich with pumpernickel bread and American cheese, yum!
Dinner: a hamburger
I spent a portion of my evening at Barnes and Noble reading about borderline personality disorder. That made me feel a little down so, I called my big sister and spent the rest of the night with her. Which, I think was the right thing to do.

Lauren - Day 24 and Day 25
Yesterday:
Noon-ish: some ice cream products...I don't remember what kind.
Dinner: Two brats (yum!), a tomato, and something else
Today:
Noon-ish: half of a small Cappuccino Blast, yum!
4:15: I had a salad with lettuce, olives, white cheese, pepperoni and chicken. Then chicken with tomatoes on top of it. Then for dessert I had a lemon flavored, chocolate and kaluah flavored, and champagne flavored mini cakes. Also, delicious.

Philip - Day 22
11:12 - 1 cherry limeade water and an english muffin
14:37 - 1 cherry limeade water and a double turkey burger
20:48 - 1/2 of a LARGE A&W root beer, and 1/2 a bag of popcorn
Kait and I went to Branson and spent all kinds of money. I got two pairs of shorts, which I desperately needed, and a comfy rugby shirt that was cheap. Kait got a pair of sexy jeans, three pairs of panties, none of which offer substantial coverage, a dress/overshirt, and five more shirts. I wanted to go to the Kay-Bee Toys outlet, but it was actually pricier than the places in town.

Lauren - Day 21
Breakfast: a jimmy johns sandwich with roast beef!
'Twas yummy!
Dinner: Local Burger! a grass-fed only beef burger, french fries and some water
Last night was Hilary's birthday party and I drank a little but mainly got really, really stoned. It was soo much fun! The people who came to the party were also dorky, like us, so they were actually happy that Mark wanted to play Guitar Hero. It was awesome. All the guys were taking turns playing and every one was watching, singing, and dancing. It was so much fun. I even got to talk to people about the books I've been reading! Yay for common interests!

Philip - Day 21
13:04 - 1 raspberry water, 2 sbd chocolate bars, 1 brat, and 1 turkey burger
19:45 - 1/2 chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake
At Kaitlin's insistance, I swear. Went to the gym. I nearly died, and I didn't even do much. Although, the last thing I did, which I think put me over the edge, was 230 lbs. on the leg press. Everything else, except back, which was seventy, was fifty pounds. I managed about five minutes on an eliptical-like machine. I dunno, I feel really self-conscious at the gym. Everyone who's my age are all athletes, or look athletic, and all the people as unfit as I am are elderly men. It's a real confidence builder. Just what I needed recently.
Dunno if Karl's coming tonight.
22:38 - 3 peanut butter blueberry pancakes with syrup, 2 scrambled eggs with cheese, 6 small sausage patties, 1/2 glass of white grape raspberry juice, 2 glasses of apple juice with Svedka vanilla vodka
No Karl. Big surprise. Started to watch The Big Lebowski, but Kait's already asleep. So, ... what to do, ...

Philip - Day 20
13:31 - 1 bowl of frosted flakes
So, ... I guess this is summer? Sitting by myself in front of the television waiting for people to sign online so I have someone to talk to? Awesome, ...
15:28 - 1 chicken sandwich, large fries, small Sprite, 2 english muffins, and a raspberry water
18:47 - 1 South Beach Diet peanut butter bar and a box of raisins
I did my barbell workouts again today. Damn. I haven't done it in such a long time. But it feels good to actually exercise a little. I'm going to work on the bike tomorrow. And maybe lift some more.
22:25 - Turkey burgers and a baked potato

Lauren - Day 20
"As the heat barrels down on me from the sun that has been following me like a pack of rabid dogs ever since I was stranded on this deserted island, I begin to ponder life. Why are we here? Who put us here and why?" ....that seemed like the right thing to say.
Anyway.....
Breakfast: CHOCOLATE CAKE!! Yum.
Anyway, it's good cake. I like it. Today Hilary is 21!! Yay!! 21!!! WoooooOOoooOO! So, I will be going to Lawrence to get shwasted! I'm so excited! Woot in the Billy! Yay for excited. ...I'm crazy. It's awesome.
Dinner: Enchilada and chips and dip
Several alcoholic beverages. They were yummy and I was drunk. So drunk in fact that I danced, in a tacky mermaid costume, on the top of a bar. I can't believe I did that but I had so much fun!

Lauren - Day 19
Breakfast: one oats and honey bar
Snack: a few french fries
Dinner: ravioli and a piece of chocolate cake (Yummmmmmmmm!)
Snack: another piece of cake...yummmmm!!
Today has pretty much been awesome. I spent a few hours sitting at Loose Park reading my Cosmo and my book and writing what I think will become a thesis of a book I want to eventually write. I'm so happy that I found the books that I have in the recent days. They're pretty much awesome. Woot!
It's almost Hilary's birthday!!!! Yay!

Lauren - Day 18
Breakfast/Lunch: supreme pizza and a mountain dew from Joe's Pizza
Dinner: chicken, the rest of my ice cream, a piece of pita bread with cheese, and two honey and oats bars
I also had some orange juice.
Yesterday I finished "If I Die in Combat Zone" and then immediately started, and pretty much finished, "Don't Think of an Elephant." Both amazing books. Both political in nature. "If I Die in Combat Zone" is by the same man who wrote "The Things they Carried" and is a non-fictional representation of his tour in Vietnam. Very powerful and very good. "Don't think of an Elephant," written by George Lakoff, who is a cognitive scientist, explains, from the perspective of a cognitive scientist, why liberals have been unsuccessful in furthering their political stance in the United States. Also, very powerful. After finishing those two books I wanted to know more. I've loved Tim O'Brien since high school and have been wanting to read every last one of his novels and "Don't Think of an Elephant" is the exact reason why liberals are loosing every time when against a conservative so, today, I decided to go to library. Since I haven't stepped foot in a library in years with the intention of checking out a book, it was rather interesting trying to remember how libraries are set up and what one does when looking for a book. Luckily, it easily all came back as soon as I did my first search.
After spending an hour wondering through the large and beautiful down town library I, perhaps naively, left with the intention to read all five books that I checked out. Philosophy in the Flesh: "The Embodied Mind and Its Challenge to Western Thought" a GIANT about 600 page book by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson, "Dreams from My Father: A story of race and inheritance" by Barack Obama, "July, July" and "Going after Cacciato" both by Tim O'Brien, and "Moral Politics: What conservatives know that liberals don't" by George Lakoff. I've started "Dreams from My Father...", "Going after Cacciato", and "Moral Politics..." So far so good. I would still be reading but my damn ADD prevented me from doing so but now that my mother isn't rehearsing I think I will resume my reading. ...after Scrubs.
I am drinking a Powerade. It is yummy. Yum.

Philip - Day 18
8:35 - 1 Slimfast
Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive. I don't really want to watch, but if I'm up, and it's on, then I feel myself inexplicably drawn to it. There's a bad guy made of ice. Like Snow Miser. He's got a curly little mustache, which is cute, which is not a good thing for the villain to be. Oh well, there are worse things than Power Rangers based on construction equipment.
9:17 - Cherry Limeade water
If you tell someone who is not "in a pissy mood" that they are, and then persistently badger them about what's wrong, and why they're upset, the previously calm person will, in fact, become enraged. If you tell me I'm upset, and constantly ask me why I'm upset, even though I wasn't to begin with, of course I'm going to get pissed off. Fucking Christ, is it that hard of a concept? Every single fucking argument, the same thing happens. I'm fine, minding my own business, and then get pestered about NOTHING, which causes me to lose my temper. No fucking shit.
16:03 - 2 slices of cheese pizza, 1 breadstick, and a root beer
Ugh. I really did not want to eat at Domino's, but it was the only place in the union without a line. Because the food is greasy and tastes like ass, no matter what you do to it. My Comparative Mythology final went awesome. I'm expecting a low A, on it, at least, and probably a mid-range B for the class. Shakespeare's going to be a C, Russian is an A, and Young Adult Novel, ... probably a B. I have to get a 65 on my term paper, to keep at least a B. Now, my paper was shit, but I don't think it was D-worthy shit. I spelled my name right, at least.
20:14 - 1 Boston Creme Pie yogurt, 1 bag of Barbecue Baked Lays, 2 hamburger buns, 1/12 lb of cajun turkey
Stoned. I walked out of my Young Adult Novel class. Last class of the semester, and she drags it the fuck out. Fuck you, Stringam. You're a stupid bitch. If you hate America so much, and love China, then go to China and stay there. Maybe the little drones will be able to fulfill your every inscrutable whim, but I don't have to anymore. HA!

Philip - Day 17
18:39 - 1 Slimfast, leftover Chicken Parmesean, 1 brownie, and a glass of skim milk
I'm pretty sure I failed my Shakespeare final. I just didn't have much to say, and I couldn't remember a lot of the terminology. Thankfully, I managed an A on the Russian final. Just barely. I've been in a weird mood all day, and I don't think I've been expressing myself very well. Two people thought I had a barcode tattoo until I actually presented them my wrist. Sounds like an idea the government may employ someday. I've got an obviously ingrown toenail. I don't know when that happened, but it's definitely going to be a setback.
"I'm going to get more cake. I'm in training." - Bloo, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
21:18 - 3 chicken enchiladas, 1 bag of banana chips, dried cranberries, and roasted almonds, and 1 rasberry water
Stoned. And watching Heroes. Which rocks. Still hungry, ...
Malcolm MacDowell is an evil man.

Lauren - Day 17
2:02 PM- some pretzels and cheese
I haven't really been that hungry today. I spent most of the afternoon helping my mom's therapist clean her house. She reminds me a lot of my grandma. I actually had a really good time talking with her and hearing stories about her childhood. I love talking with old people about their youth. Stories from long ago are really fun to hear. I can't wait until I'm old and able to reminisce about my childhood the way they do.
I don't really need to work out much today since I worked up quite a sweat cleaning at her house, walked home from her house to mine and stopped by Edgevaile to swing on the way home but I think, since I love riding my new awesome bike of awesomeness, I will ride it anyway.
I hope I get hungry today. It's really weird when that doesn't happen.
Dinner: a few bites of steak and two honey and oat bars
Snack: a mini coffee toffee from Foos
Heh, at Foos they have a concrete called "Wut Wut" and there's a little note below it that says,"When ordered you must say 'Can I get a...'" I thought that was funny.
I've done so much physical activity today. With the cleaning and the walk home and the swinging and then walking to Foos and then walking back from the park. Tonight was pretty fun. Yay for fun!
(You need to post pictures of your tattoo soon! I really want to see it. Oh, and I love that show you referenced. The two little boys Hilary babysits watch it and they got me to liking it. He he. It's silly getting TV advice from a 4 year old.)

Lauren - Day 16
Breakfast: a tiny bit of cheese and chips
Lunch: salmon and pretzels, I drank Propel water (yum), a sprite, a cherry 7-up
Snack: A half a thing of Ben and Jerry's ice cream (yum) and some more pretzels
The bird is now safely at Lakeside Wildlife Center and they're going to call me when they can release it. :) I was so happy this morning when I saw that she was still alive. (The girl at Lakeside said the bird was a she.) I was dreading waking up to a dead bird. She was very alert and chirping so I think she'll be just fine.
Today, for Mother's Day, I went with my mom and Art, her boyfriend, to Powell Gardens. What a beautiful place. My favorite garden there was the Waterfall and Rock garden. It had this little stream running through the center of it and you could walk off of the main path on to wood chip paths that lead you to the creek. I spent most of my time sitting on rocks letting my feet dangle in the water. It took so much self control to not jump in an roll around in the water. Not only was it incredibly hot but I cannot resist a chance at swimming. I can't wait till the pools open. Oh, and I've lost an inch off of my stomach!! Which is very uplifting because I thought that I had gained weight while I was in Naperville but Joan and I did a lot of walking so I think that balanced out my not so perfect diet.
Yay for getting fit! Hopefully I'll be more comfortable with myself in a swimming suit this summer and not be so self conscious at the pool.
Also, yay for you!

Philip - Day 16
11:15 - 1 bbq chicken and havarti sandwich with barbecue sauce, 1 brownie, and 1 Propel
I took the bandage off at 3:30 this morning and washed my wrist. When I woke up, it looked great, so I put lotion on it, and it's starting to look better and better. I think I'm going to have something added to it before I leave for Europe. Costello Music is even better than I anticipated. Hopefully they'll keep going. I am at 238 lbs. Which is awesome. w00t! for me.
2:54 - 1 turkey sausage and bleu cheese tortilla, and a peach tea
21:59 - Parmesean chicken and garlic pasta, 1 brownie, and a glass of skim milk

21:16 - 1/2 honey bourbon chicken sandwich
Whew. We've been out of the house since 10 this morning, and have been busy for most of it. Kait went to her yoga class, while I read more of Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way, which is fucking funny. We went to meet Mary Anne Garret at Midtown to discuss the Comic Book Project details further and pick up the package of instructional materials. Afterwards, lunch at Quiznos, then to Bass Pro for a sleeping bag, nalgene bottles, flashlights, and a travel pillow for Kait. We went to Entertainmart to check out movies and stuff, but nothing really jumped out at us, so we headed to Next Generation Tattoo. I made an appointment for 8, so we went and saw TMNT again, which is much better the second time, even if it's still light on Donny, and met up with Karl at Borders, where I picked up the new Fratelli's CD. Killer stuff. We parted ways with Karl and headed for Next Generation. I have the four elements on my wrist. It didn't hurt near as much as I expected, and it looks awesome. I may go back and get a little added to it, but for now, it's too tender to mess with. After FINALLY getting home, we discover that Kait got a $5700 scholarship to pay for school next semester, which is just kickass. Like I said, it's been a busy day. Expect pictures of the ink when it's not bandaged up and smeared with vaseline.
22:11 - 3 pieces of sausage pizza, 1 black cherry Propel, 1 brownie, and 1 glass of skim milk.
Stoned. Watching Ah! Megami-sama!. Wrist is still throbbing a little. Rawr.
14:30 - 1/2 honey bourbon chicken sandwich, 1/2 bag of salt and vinegar chips, and 1 1/2 glasses of Diet Sobe
Lauren - Day 15
Breakfast: 2 honey and oats bars, an apple, and some grape juice
Today I'm going to Bartel Hall, I think, to see Obama speak. I don't know if I would actually vote for him but out of all the Democratic candidates he's my favorite. So, I think going to see him in person talk about what he wants for the country will be good for my decision making process. I hope that it's Obama/someone who doesn't suck and Juiliani/someone who isn't a war mongerer.
Lunch: Pad Thai, yummmmmm!!!
Obama has my 100% support. Finally someone who is saying everything I want to here. He brought up topics that I have yet to hear from any candidate in 2004 or from any of the interviews I've heard from people on The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. Obama in "08!!!!!!!
Snack: cheese and chips, again, yummmmmmm!!!
I have been wanting to see Incubus for almost TEN YEARS now and they're finally coming to a venue I could actually attend and they're sold out. How sad is that? :(

Philip - Day 14
10:11 - 1 bowl of "frosset frakes" with skim milk.
Whew, ... just finished uploading all of my notebook margin sketches to deviantart.com in one big collage, and someone fav'ed it in less than 4 minutes. That's insane. In the membrane. Now, I have to settle down and sort through all these comics we've been collecting. It's been a few months since I went through and noted missing issues, stickered everything, and shuffled the boxes around. We're almost ready for another one too, which would bring us up to six. When I moved to Springfield, I had enough for one. In three years, I've filled five more. Jeebus. Better get smoking, and then get organizing.
The Jungle Book 2 is about to finish, and I'm not sure what to think of it. It's the second time I've seen it and it's not bad, but I just can't see John Goodman as Baloo. He was excellent as Fred Flinstone, which I saw for the first time in forever the other night, but he can't replace Phil Harris or Ed Gilbert. The story's not bad, but it seems either overly complicated or overly simplified. I've missed a few chunks here and there, and how exactly everyone wnds up in the jungle at the end is confusing. But, it has Jonathan Rhys-Davies. Anything with Gimli can be entertaining, and that is a scientific fact.
14:36 - 1 bbq chicken and havarti sandwich with honey dijon and a Propel
23:35 - 6 pieces of pizza, 1 brownie, 1 glass of milk, and 1 bowl of leftover corn and potatoes

Lauren's One Post Recap
Well, as you know, I've been out of town for a week and there's no way I can remember all of what I've eaten or will I break it down even if I did remember. Well, I might if I had it written down somewhere but I don't. Anyway, I ate okay for the past week...other then the chocolate, the cheese cake (that I ate almost entirely by myself...I was stoned), and the half a pizza I devoured. I did walk around downtown Chicago for about two hours and Joan and I went on 4 fairly long walks while I was up there. Loren posted pictures of me from her birthday and my face is getting so pudgy again...that gave me a little motivation. Now that I'm back in KC tomorrow I'm going to go to the thrift store and buy a bike! :)
Today I've eaten a plate of spaghetti, two tiny bags of peanuts, and pesto pasta. Yuummmm... Oh and a Sprite, Mountain Dew, a glass of orange juice and a glass of grape juice.
...Now that I think about it I think it is actually going to bother me that I haven't logged what I've eaten for the past week and will eventually post it.

Philip - Day 13
13:02 - General's chicken and rice and a Propel
Sublime - April 26th, 1992. Listen to it. Love it.
19:09 - Pork chops, carmelized onions, fried potatoes, corn, and a Rolling Rock
I pass by a lot of farmland on my route home, and there are always cows meandering around. Recently, every time I glance over, I see at least one calf. The little guys are everywhere. Because of them, I consider driving in and out of town one of the best parts of my day. There's something reassuring that they're always there, kind of how the sound of the trains made me feel in Kansas City.

Philip - Day 12
6:43 - 1 strawberry cheescake yogurt, and a few sips of POM tea
EARLY. I've been getting up around 7 recently, but seriously, why would I ever need to get up at 6:15, and then stay awake? The animals were insistent that I wake up, and as soon as I had, they disappeared. Which is unfar. And not nice. And bad. However, I have already found a movie trailer that looks somewhat funny, and a piece of Rowan Atkinson's old stand up, which is not an awful way to start the day, even if it's being started about an hour and a half too early.
23:23 - 1 small chicken fried rice, 3 wontons, a Propel, and a Pepsi
I had the strangest thoughts driving home today. I think it bothered me more because I almost had to focus on it. I could try looking at the road, but eventually, it came back to the front. Would my grandfather be proud of me? Would he be proud of the person I am now, or who I'm trying to be? I honestly don't know. What bothered me the most, and admittedly still bothers me, is the tiny voice that told me, and keeps telling me, that he wouldn't be. It lends itself to bigger questions, like where I'll go when I die. I make jokes about religion, because I don't really trust it. But spiritually, where am I? Am I safe? What if I'm not?

Philip - Day 11
12:25 - 1 Slimfast
Instead of playing a regular old Winnie the Pooh episode today, Toon Disney aired the original Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh from 1977. It was a great way to start the day after bad dreams last night. Today is the second to last time I have to go to Young Adult Novel. I figured an essay on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland's relation to drug culture was a decent way to go out. I'm not planning on being very coherent for that class, so it seemed appropriate.
--:-- - 1 Monte Cristo, 1 slice of pizza, a handful of chips, 2 sugar cookies, and a glass of raspberry tea
--:-- - 1 BBQ chicken sandwich, and 1/2 glass of POM tea
Tired. Went to bed early after getting home from class. Class was stupid, and I wasn't nearly stoned enough to make it bearable. There's one period left, and I hardly have to be conscious for it. Just enough to walk to the front of the room and fill about 3 minutes of time. Bullshit.

Philip - Day 10
9:39 - 1 Slimfast and a cookie
After doing my exercises last night, the house was too hot to sleep in my room. So, we slept in my parents' room, which is usually closed off and nice and cool. But, being in a foreign bed, I woke up at 7, only to find that Toon Disney has changed their morning schedule. Just in case there was any doubt, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is not Aladdin, Tarzan, Lilo and Stitch, or Winnie the Pooh. However, Esmerelda is pretty hot for a cartoon character. Sketching is, ... slow. I'm trying to improve my skills, but no matter what, I just can't nail a style that I like. It's the last week of class, and then a nice long vacation. I'm looking forward to it.
12:24 - 1 salami, havarti, and honey ham sandwich, four small cookies, a handful of potato chips, and a fruit rollup
Damn, ... and I'm still hungry, ...
20:08 - 1 Propel, 3 small cookies, and a chicken tostada with mexican rice
I really don't want to do anything tonight, but I have 2 responses to write. I think I'll put them off until tomorrow morning. I finally burned the Fantastic Four movie to my computer so I can edit together a trailer. Something I've wanted to do for a long time. It's pretty neat.

Philip - Day 9
9:04 - 1 Slimfast
My head hurts, and I hardly drank at all. That and it's starting to get hot and muggy again after raining softly all night, so everything feels greasy and nasty, even after taking a shower. Why do I have to be so sensitive to barometric pressure? Stupid barometric pressure. Stupid contributing factors.
I don't want to write an essay on Alice in Wonderland, even if it's only two pages. I just can't think of anything to say about it, really. Not anything I'd want to continue talking about with Stringam, but there's only one more class left. I have to figure out how I'm going to do my presentation for her. That will definitely be interesting. So, today, write a 2 page response for Alice, a presentation for my term paper, a 2 page response to the first act of the Tempest, and a 2 page response to the second act of the Tempest, ... and that should be it.
Still haven't done my exercises today. But it's early. And everything feels sticky. Stupid weather.
16:06 - 2 cookies, 1 bbq chicken and havarti sandwich, 1 apple, a handful of bbq Baked Ruffles, 2 juiceboxes, and 1 glass of apple juice
Went to the grocery store and picked up a lot of breakfasty stuff that will all taste good. The doggies have food too, so we're all fed and happy. Watching the Crucible with Kaitlin and reading TMNT comics I downloaded off a torrent. Both are mildly enjoyable and provide a nice distraction from actually doing homework. Turns out I'm not so desperate to get things done, so that's a bit of weight off my shoulders. I still have to have the Alice paper in on Tuesday, but nothing else really needs doing until next Sunday, which is a long way away. Made some progress on the comic today, but only the script and vague ideas of page layout. The more I do, the more excited about it I get, which is a good sign.
20:58 - 3 cookies, 2 glasses of apple juice, 1 turkey enchilada, 4 Rolling Rocks, and a bag of mini Doritos
I haven't smoked. Honest. But there's a good chance I'll be gone before the end of the night, in which case, I'll probably have to add more food to the list. But come Hell or high water, I will do at least some of my exercises. Also, American Dad is much better than either Simpsons or Family Guy. Kait's enjoying the Hellboy comics as far as I know. In any case, it's been a pretty good night, even if it's been too damn hot. Which is probably why I've been drinking so much in the first place. I would switch to water, but as Kait, Ryan and I discussed last night, the amount of water it would take to produce drunk-ish feelings, and the amount of water that would be fatal are probably not far enough from each other to not have hazardous results. So there.

Philip - Day 8
10:27 - 1 Slimfast
O Brother, Where Art Thou? is on. What an awesome movie. We've got ArtsFest later, and then a string of garage sales. I'm torn between getting out of the house, and getting out of the house for artsy crap.
19:05 - 1 Quizno's chicken sandwich, 1 bag of mesquite bbq chips, 1 diet Sobe, and a cookie
ArtsFest was kind of a bust. Lots of people, lots of dogs, and 95 degree weather. Nick got tired and cranky, but his mom was worse, as expected. Ryan and I stopped in at Ebbets Field and picked up a couple Sunset Wheat's. Mmmm, .... Leinenkugel, ... Kait got some cute shirts at a garage sale for $1. Shopping for clothes can be fun, so long as the girl you're shopping for will parade around in the sexy new clothes for you. Is it some trace of New Cow Syndrome? Has anyone seen Someone Like You besides me, anyways? Nah, ...
21:33 - 1 salami, honey ham, and havarti sandwich, 1 Rolling Rock, 1 bag of popcorn, and 1 apple juice/absolut mandarin concoction
Ryan came over and played dominos with Kaitlin and I. A good time was had by all. Also, Legends of the Hidden Temple is still awesome. More awesome than other shows that are not Legends of the Hidden Temple. Or maybe I'm exaggerating. Probably.

Philip - Day 7
20:15 - 1/2 bowl of Honey Grahams with skim milk, 1 pastrami sandwich on sourdough with spicy brown mustard and lettuce and a sweet tea from McAlister's, 2 slices of homemade pizza and 1 glass of white grape peach juice.
Shakespeare, ... I am so ready to start talking about the Tempest, so we sit around and talk about everything that is NOT the Tempest. I'm glad there are only two more classes left. School is almost over. Then, I'm going to sit around and play Kingdom Hearts until we leave for Europe. Actually, that sounds kind of awful. It's a fun game, but I've gotta have some variation, y'know? It's Friday. If I didn't have to wake up for ArtsFest tomorrow, I would get bloody plastered, ... but I do. I have to leave at 10 in the morning, or so. Grr, ...
23:38 -
I didn't eat anything, but I exercised. I did my usual 20 bicep curls and 20 tricep lifts, both at 40 lbs, then 10 lifts to the front and side at 15 lbs, 25 situps and 10 pushups. Damn was I tired. Out of shape.

Philip - Day 6
19:48 - 1 Slimfast, 1 piece of meatloaf and 1 ginger ale, homemade chicken nuggets and a baked potato with barbecue sauce, and 1 more ginger ale
I haven't had any exercise per se, but my car died and I got to push it about two blocks. Plus I walked about a mile back and forth from the gas station, twice. Needles to say, I didn't make it to class, because I didn't FEEL LIKE IT. My glasses are still missing, and my head still hurts. I'm going to smoke a lot, continue watching Better Off Dead, finish reading the novelization of Spider-Man 3. Then, I will leave my house at 10:30 PM, with Kaitlin in tow, armed with money and caffeinated beverages, and witness the glory that is Spider-Man 3. I could care less about Venom or "New Goblin". I'm in it for Sandman. Flint Marko. Thomas Haden Church. Bring it on.
--:-- - 1 corned beef and havarti sandwich with Country Bob's, 2 handfuls of Honey Grahams and a glass of milk, 1/2 a container of popcorn and 1/2 of a Dr. Pepper
Hmm, ... Spider-Man 3 has some really great parts. The actual story is decent enough, but I really don't care for Venom, and the story would have been much stronger without him, or if he had been dealt with differently. The misunderstanding between what actually happened with Flint Marko, and what everyone believes happened is a really interesting plot, and I wish it would have been expanded. There are too many players set in motion who just don't do anything. Bryce Dallas Howard is nice to look at, but Gwen Stacy's character is never really given a personality besides "I'm blonde with great big tits! See? They're bouncy!" I know it's cliche, and that technically the movie was the final product, but I really think the "novelization" by Peter David told the story better. You care more about the characters when you can picture them on your own. Peter doesn't look slimy with bulging eyes in my head, and Mary Jane Watson does not have distracting vampire fangs. Disjointed transitions and inconsistent acting have always been staples of these movies, along with all the special effects, which made more than a few people nauseous this time around, and while I think the second movie was the best, this wasn't anything to scoff at. It is the most expensive movie ever made, after all, and it has its merits, they're just equally balanced with some glaring problems.
Lauren - Day 6
Breakfast- bowl of the same cereal I had yesterday
Right now I'm drinking a giant thing of Mountain Dew. It's my celebratory Mountain Dew because I got a job today!!! I will be assistant manager of Baskin Robbins! Yay!!! I'm so excited. My boss is really cool and laid back but at the same times cares about her job. Another cool boss; how lucky am I? I think that since I had to put up with Rick and all of his shit for a year and a half the universe is rewarding me with cool bosses. I'm so fucking happy right now. Now I can pay off my debt, buy what I need, and go back to school. Yay!

Lauren - Day 5
Breakfast- bowl of the same cereal I had yesterday
Lunch/Dinner- a giant potato with chili and cheese and a slice of chocolate cake from McAllister's Deli
Snack- granola bar
I also worked out for about a half an hour today.
I split that amazing cake with Natalie so, it wasn't all me. Also, I went shopping for a dress and other essentials for a wedding I'm going to this weekend. I hate shopping. I just like going into the store, knowing what I need, getting it and paying for it. Done. End of story. Natalie on the other hand spent $400 on clothes, shoes and accessories. Crazy. I feel guilty if I spend more then, like, 80 bucks on a shopping spree. She and I need to go shopping again so she can help me get better at it.
Anyway, I'll be in Chicago and wherever the wedding I'm going to is for the next 7 days. I'm excited!!
Oh, and I'm sure the four hours of shopping burned some calories.

Philip - Day 5
13:29 - 1 bowl of Honey Grahams with skim milk
My head hurts. I don't know where my glasses are. I'm not going to make it to Shakespeare, but I don't really need to be there. It's pretty useless at this point. After Russian we have dinner with Karl and it's comic book day. I hope I find my glasses so I can actually read them all. Lousy eyes. What did they ever do for me?
20:24 - 1 Slimfast, Sweet and Sour Chicken with rice, 4 wontons, 2 crab rangoon, 2 hot dog buns with honey, 1 glass of milk, and 1 Sierra Mist.
Not all of that was at once, mind you. It's comic book day! Karl didn't come to dinner, but I went and got books. With a 25% discount, the total came to nearly $75. That's what happens when you don't get comics for two weeks. I still haven't found my glasses, but I can't let that stop me with all these damn comics. They need to be read! Read I tell you! Aahahahahahaaaa, ....

Lauren - Day 4
Breakfast- organic raisin bran cereal with 2% milk, some sausage, and grape juice
Lunch- mountain dew and a small bag of all natural potato chips made with sunflower oil
Snack- the last of those bars that I will never buy again
Dinner- a hamburger patty with some cheese
I'm ashamed of the Mountain Dew. My Mom misunderstood me when I jokingly asked her for a laundry list of sweets for her trip to 7/11. The chips I ate because Karlyn didn't like them. Someone had to!
I also went on a 40 minute walk tonight...kids and puppies are so cute!

Philip - Day 4
12:44 - 1 Slimfast, 1 sandwich with 2 slices of honey ham and 1 slice of havarti, and a handful of Doritos
I finished my essay. I finished two 8 page essays in two days. I am an essay god. I really don't want to go anywhere today, but I have to leave for class in about 15 minutes. Probably for the best, anyways. I think the cleaning ladies come today. Not sure what's on the menu for tonight, but I really just want to relax. 2 essays turned in, 2 tests finished. 1 paper and 3 finals left, and then I get 3 whole months of freedom, including a month in Europe. Irish pubs and Polish campsites, here I come.
22:04 - Chicken Fried Steak and mashed potatoes, 1 roll, 1 apple, 2 peanut butter cookies, and a Dr. Pepper
I had a lot for dinner tonight. But I don't remember what it all was. I wrote it all down, so I'll post it later. Class was a fucking nightmare. Watching the most boring foreign movie of all time. Chinese bullshit. Yes, poverty is tragic. I was accused of not being able to enjoy subtleties, when I'm really just not able to enjoy mindless repetition. Repetition and character development are not the same thing. Fucking class.
--:-- - Graham crackers and a glass of milk
Not sure when I had them, but they were good. I don't really know if I've been dieting well or not. I haven't been overeating, and I haven't been eating when I'm not hungry, but it still seems like a lot of food. I can't just chalk everything up to being a big guy. The point of all this is to be a not-as-big guy.

Lauren - Day 3
Breakfast- some tuna with miracle whip on crackers
Lunch- chocolate south beach diet bar (really good) and two glasses of milk
Dinner- a salad with iceberg and green lettuce, olives, broccoli, red beans, chicken, feta cheese and Northern Italian dressing YUM!
Snack- 2 of the south beach diet bars...I tried not to eat them...
I also drank half if this disgusting burn calories drink called enviga (don't try it) and a can of cream soda.

Philip - Day 3
12:22 - 1 last slice of bleu cheese bread and 1 SlimFast
I already did curls today, and I've gotten 5 and 1/2 pages on my Young Adult Novel paper done. I don't think we're going to BodyPump tonight, but we'll probably play some more soccer since we're having brats for dinner. Mmmm, ... brats.
19:28 - 2 cookies, 1 slice of corned beef, 1 hot dog bun, 1 glass of milk, and a handful of tortilla chips
Rawr. My feet hurt. Blisters. I think the Russian test went fine. We'll see. I'm waiting on the brats to be done. I haven't actually eaten for a while, this was just my first available posting time. Expect more later.
20:45 - 2 beer brats, 1 with Country Bob's and 1 with honey dijon mustard, and 1 can of cherry coke.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a shit movie for stupid people. Everything except for Bill Nighy. And the "All these people are idiots!" part. That was pretty funny. I don't want to finish my stupid paper. I want to play around in Illustrator.

Philip - Day 2
9:17 - 1 bowl of "Honey Graham Squares" with skim milk, and 1 nice big mug of loving coffee.
Last night was a big blur, and yesterday was one of the most easy-going and complicated days I've had in a while. Both dogs went missing and the car had to be towed out of a ditch, but we bought a soccer ball, went on a long hike, and found a really nice looking apple tree for Kait's church. And I've already lifted once today, so my arms are a little sore. Anyways, ...
18:33 - 1/2 graham cracker and 1 Route 44 orange slush from Sonic
Kait and I went to play soccer for about an hour and a half, and looked at lacrosse equipment online. She's found a $30 stick, bag, and ball, but mine's going to cost a little more. I'm a bit more discriminatory, because I know what I'm used to, and what I'm looking for. $30 for everything you need for a beginner, especially one who's only really going to play catch, is not a bad deal. Not sure what's for dinner, but I have 287 words left to get an A on my Shakespeare paper. The paper is over 90% bullshit as it is, 300 more words for an overly complicated conclusion, which will probably include a lengthy quote should be a breeze. Including this sentence, I've already hammered out 143 words, for an otherwise useless post alone.
21:05 - 1 can of Cherry Coke, 1 slice of meatloaf, green beans, and cajun fried potatoes 1 slice of bleu cheese bread, and a bowl of 1/2 fat Rocky Road ice cream
Whew, ... Biggest bullshit essay ever! 2622 words constitutes an A paper in accordance with Baumlin's requirements. That boosts my grade significantly. Almost to an overall A, I think. I've been smoking again, so for me, that's a pretty nice limit of food. I'm dying here, whaddaya want? I promise to do my curls again, and get on the elliptical tomorrow morning, but then I have to BS my way through another paper. So don't expect too much. Errrr, ... Turk is having really bad ticks. We had to pull a massive one off his weiner. No more generic tick medicine for our boys. It just doesn't work. Poor guy. I plan on going to BodyPump at the Globogym with Kaitlin tomorrow after our Russian test. Also, I still need to work on my other paper for Young Adult Novel. Peace out.
23:35 - 1 can of Cherry Coke and a handful of Blazin' Barbecue and Ranch Doritos
I ate a whole handful of them. And they tasted awesome. So there. Also, the bottom of my feet are enormous blisters from my stupid orthotics. I haven't worn them for a long time, so I have to readjust in new shoes. It is not fun. I've never worn high heels, but I can't imagine they'd be much different.

Lauren - Day 2
Lets see...what have I eaten today...
Breakfast: a hot dog with mustard
Snack: corn chips and olive hummus
Lunch: lemon chicken
Dinner: stuffed chicken with breading (stuffed with DELICIOUS cream cheese), baked potatoes, and broccoli
Also, I drank a bunch of water and had a glass of iced tea, yum!
Tonight I went on a 40 minute walk and talked to Hilary.
I love nights like this. Warm, spring nights where's it's completely still and peaceful. I wish every day could be like this.

Philip - Day 1
10:30 - 2 pancakes w/ syrup, 3 turkey sausage patties, 1 glass of skim milk
16:34 - 1 turkey sausage patty, 1/2 can of Cherry Coke, 1 medium raspberry milkshake
Kaitlin and I went to the nature center and walked 3 1/2 miles, then another mile when we got home, looking for the canine escape artists. We also bought a soccer ball and looked at lacrosse equipment. Not a fantastic start, really, but some important steps. I actually had breakfast today.
20:17 - 1 beer, 1/2 can of Cherry Coke, 4 slices of bleu cheese bread, 1 slice of corned beef, 2 turkey sausage patties, 1 miniature chocolate egg, and a handful of Doritos.
Really stoned. Really hungry. I've been drinking a lot of water, though. I think I might get on the elliptical after I'm finished with my Shakespeare paper. Damn bard. I don't usually get this hungry, so should I be concerned? Nah, ...
22:35 - 1 glass of juice, and 1 slice of bleu cheese bread
I'm sleepy and my head hurts. I'm going to bed.

Lauren - Day 1
So far today I've eaten the rest of that rice and chicken thing I made last night and drank a glass of orange juice. Now I'm drinking a big mug of green tea. Yum!
I was going to list all of this stuff at the end of the day but I will, most likely, forget all of what I consume.
Green tea will be something I drink every day in place of coffee. Also, I'm going to try and eat four, small, balanced meals every day.
------
I've now had a bowl of broccoli, corn chips and garlic hummus, and about a cup of Special K cereal.
...still need to go running...

Philip - Day 0
Current weight: 248 lbs.
Current waist: 42"
Fatty fat fat. My current workout routine is almost non-existant. I curl 40 pounds at 20 reps, then do the same thing for triceps. Occassionally I think about doing crunches, and then don't do them. Any kind of exercise or diet changes are going to be for the better.
1. Drink more water.
2. Run/jog at least once a day.
3. Cut out fast food, soda, etc.
That is all.
